TransACTION! Online Course on Multimedia 

Welcome to the TransACTION! Open Online Course on multimedia creation for Higher Education! In this course, you'll find insights, examples and good practices in multimedia learning, multimedia production and online learning. You can go through the course in your own time and at your own pace. 

In this section you will read about the TransACTION!-project and we will share how to best navigate the course and explain the content of the course with a description of the target audience.

About TransACTION! 

TransACTION! is an Erasmus+ funded collaboration between five partners: 

  • Friedrich-Alexander Universität (FAU); 
  • Wageningen University and Research (WUR); 
  • KU Leuven; 
  • Universidad Politècnica de València (UPV); 
  • The Media and Learning Association. 

TransACTION! aims to achieve Digital Transformation through Active Co-creation, Training, Innovation, Open Education and Networking through five results: 
1. A co-creation framework 
2. An Open Online Course 
3. A multimedia resources hub 
4. Training activities 
5. A recommendation report. 
 
The project's overall objective is developing and up-scaling effective media-based learning strategies and resources in Europe Higher Education. 

Navigating the course 

This course is hosted on Teachable, an online LMS.

On the left-hand side of your screen, you'll see an overview of your progress. On the right-hand side, you can go through the course materials. Using the ‘complete and continue’ button in the top right corner or at the bottom of the screen, you can move on to the next piece of content. 

Course structure & contents 

The course consists of four modules. Each addresses key aspects of educational multimedia and online learning. Each module contains a combination of theory (presented in videos, text and infographics), practical tips and quizzes that help you retain what you have learned. Read the quiz feedback carefully to get maximum results. You can go through any module separately, but they also build on and refer to each other.
